1) Why is it significant that even “great wisdom” cannot fix what is “crooked” in the world? How does death give us the proper perspective we need to begin to enjoy life? 

2) Where are you most tempted right now to treat a “dead-end pursuit” as if it could give ultimate meaning?

3) How does Ecclesiastes 1:12–2:26 expose the limits of every “under the sun” solution to life’s meaning?

4) Where do you see evidence that joy is something God gives, not something we can secure? How does the idea of “gifted joy” point forward to the gospel in Christ?
