PRAYER AT FAITH

Prayer is more than bringing a list of requests before God. It is an opportunity to come before our Heavenly Father honestly—with our joys, needs, fears, struggles, questions, and thankfulness. Just as a loving parent desires to hear from their children, God invites us to draw near to Him. We don't need the perfect words, and we don't need to have everything figured out before we pray. We can simply come to Him, knowing that He knows us, loves us, and cares for us.

Jesus modeled a life of prayer throughout His time on earth and taught His disciples to pray. He began, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…” (Matthew 6:9). Jesus' words remind us that prayer is both personal and something we share as the body of Christ. We pray individually, but we also have the privilege of coming before God together—praying for one another and bringing the needs of our church, community, and world before Him.

At Faith, prayer is an important part of our life together. We pray for our one another, pastors and leaders, missionaries and ministry partners, the ministries of our church, those who are sick or grieving, and those walking through difficult seasons of life. We also celebrate God's faithfulness and give thanks for the ways we see Him at work.

Prayer doesn't require special training. It is simply God's people coming before Him in faith, trusting that He hears us and inviting Him to work in our lives and in the lives of those around us. If you have a specific need, are carrying a burden for someone else, or simply need someone to pray alongside you, we would be glad to pray with you.
