1) When you hear the word “vanity”, what areas of life come to mind first? Where are you most tempted to expect lasting satisfaction from something temporary? 

2) What does the phrase “under the sun” in Ecclesiastes suggest about the perspective being taken? What kinds of “profit” do you instinctively assume will make life worthwhile? 

3) How do you typically respond when life feels repetitive or stagnant? How might this passage be shaping you to look beyond "the sun" answers?

4) What does a life well-lived look like to you? How does that Compare with the vision of life given within God's Word and His gospel?
