1) What does this miracle reveal about who Jesus is and why He alone can truly satisfy us? Take time this week to read and reflect on Jesus’ words in John 6:22-71 and what it means that He is the “bread of life”.

2) In what situations do you find your compassion most easily replaced by irritation or inconvenience? Who in your life right now might need the kind of compassion Jesus shows in this passage?

3) When have you felt overwhelmed by a need that seemed far bigger than what you could offer? How do we sometimes use our limitations as an excuse to avoid obedience?

4) How does this miracle encourage you to trust Christ more deeply with the needs around you? What small resources (time, encouragement, service, generosity) might God be calling you to offer, even though they might seem insignificant?
