The Responsibility of Revelation

Matthew 11:20-24

For Further Reflection:

1) Why is it sometimes easier to ignore truth rather than respond to it? (Think of the “ignorance is bliss” idea—what are the comforts of indifference?) How might we be guilty of taking God’s light for granted—hearing truth, seeing God’s work, but remaining unmoved?

2) What does this passage teach us about the seriousness of rejecting Christ? What might repentance look like in your life right now in light of the truth you’ve already received?

3) How can our awareness of judgment motivate us to share Christ with others who are ignoring or resisting His revelation?
