Serving the Least Reached in the USA
T & R grew up in Maryland but met in Milwaukee at a dinner for international students. Before they were married, God was drawing their focus away from their careers and toward THE big thing He is doing in this church age – making disciples from among each and every people group (ethnos). They learned that there are still thousands of people groups that have no Christian witness, no church, and no Bible in their language.
After studying the Bible at Ethnos360 Bible Institute and attending missionary training, the Lord opened doors for T & R to serve in Ontario at Ethnos Canada’s missionary training center.
They have been thankful for the opportunities they've had at Ethnos Canada. Seeing graduates go all over the world as Christ's ambassadors has been an incredible joy.
But there are also members of unreached people groups who have been displaced from their homelands, and some are living right here in the USA! Many come from countries that are closed to missionaries, but now they are living right next door to us! They've gotten acquainted with a team of three missionaries who are in the early stages of building relationships with members of one of these people groups in southern Pennsylvania. The long-term plan is to meaningfully share the good news about Jesus and plant a church, and they really need help!
There is an incredible platform for getting to know the people. Moving to another country is hard, and they're seeking help with English, tutoring for their kids, and a safe community as they adjust to life in the United States. This gives them an opportunity to serve and love others in practical ways, learning about others culture and worldview and building meaningful relationships in the process.
From the very beginning, T & R's heart has been to seek unreached people groups and for them to come to know Jesus. With the guidance of FCC and supporters, they have moved to PA to begin a new chapter of ministry there. This move will also put them closer to their parents as they get older and will give them access to more resources for their son with autism.
"...and how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about him?" ~ Romans 10:14
