“FLIP-FLOP OVER TO SERVING IN SUMMER” OK, OK – so it’s not summer but it will be before we know it, so in the Children’s Ministry we are preparing for summer now.  Summer is when we give our faithful and loving Children’s Ministry full- time Team a much needed rest!!!  YOU can help so please sign up to serve 1, 2 or more weeks in June, July or August. If God leads you to serve the whole summer we would certainly welcome that! We have many slots to fill so please prayerfully consider being a part of the Children’s Ministry Summer Team. You can sign up to serve at the table in the foyer or contact Amy McDougall at 443-883-1837 at amy@faithcommunity.net

THE PASSION WEEK OF CHRIST
A detailed and devotional study with Dr. Doug Bookman

who has led over 35 study trips to Israel.

Friday March 31, @ 7PM

Saturday April 1 @ 9AM

Sunday April 2 during both services
No-sign ups; just come & enjoy a conference on the
Passion Week of Christ!

In 1987, Dr. Bookman joined the Bible Department faculty of The Master’s College. While there, he conceived, designed, and implemented the IBEX program, a semester-abroad program in Israel. This is an amazing opportunity for students to study the Bible in 3D.  Students travel the breadth of the Holy Land visiting sites including the Dead Sea, Mt. Carmel, Megido, the Sea of Galilee, Qumran and many more.  They spend time in Jerusalem studying the establishment of the capital under David, the destruction in the time of Jeremiah, the Passion Week of Christ and the Roman destruction in 70 A.D.

After some years in the pastorate, writing, and representing Friends of Israel, Dr. Bookman joined the Shepherds Theological Seminary faculty in 2009 where he directs student recruitment and teaches New Testament Exposition. Dr. Bookman continues to lead numerous study trips to Israel including the annual semester in Israel for STS students. The focus of the travels and ministry of the Bookman family over the past decade has been in large part writing and teaching about the Life of Christ, a subject which manifestly deserves the attention of believers, but which is much neglected today.
